Reviews for People's Park Cafe
Review highlights
Based on 142 reviewsPeople's Park Cafe in Damansara Jaya is frequently praised for its serene ambiance, enhanced by full-length windows offering views of the adjacent park, making it a favored spot for leisurely breakfasts and calm moments. The cafe’s cleanliness and attention to detail, such as sanitizing self-service cups, are notable strengths. Customers appreciate the high-quality coffee and standout desserts like pistachio and burnt cheesecakes, although some find certain items slightly salty or portions on the smaller side. While the food generally receives positive remarks, there are mixed feelings about overall flavor and portion sizes. Service is considered average, with some preferring a more traditional ordering approach. The cozy, well-decorated interior and thoughtful amenities like bag baskets contribute positively to the overall experience.
Quite a nice cafe, located next to a park. The view through the full-length windows feels very therapeutic—you can even see homeless people sleeping in the park . I happened to be going to Atria Mall to do some shopping, and after a 30-minute wait on the booking list, it was finally my turn. The interior decor is pretty nice too, but the food was rather average—just barely edible. There was only one dish, the chicken muffin, that stood out—in a bad way. It tasted like cold chicken shreds paired with a muffin, and the flavor was quite unbearable.
Had their burnt cheesecake for dessert one evening. Taste wise, it’s slightly too salty Portion quite small for this price, too little cream, not really enough if you want a bit of cream for every bite size. Texture was to my liking, sweetness was just nice too Overall taste not bad Table arrangement was too packed, service are average
We love the food and the cafe is impeccably clean including the cups and cutlery essentials. Small touches like keeping the self service cups in a sanitising cabinet was not seen in other cafes. As for the service, would prefer that order be taken instead of ordering at cashier. Food portion is OK but could be slightly bigger. Will return to try their other dishes.
Lovely place to have breakfast and enjoy a slow morning here. Sit by the table facing the pathway and the park and watch people going about their morning. Those seats are not skirt-friendly though coz its top to bottom glass window. It was very nice that they have basket to place our bags. Really enjoyed the rich and creamy carbonara spaghetti. It looked so good on the menu and it didn't disappoint at all. Drinks could be better. Little cups. Hot chocolate was too sweet. Coffee - I prefer a stronger roast and barista could improve on pouring skills. Oh, and the waterfall tap, it's so cool, we loved it. Not difficult to get parking if you're early on a weekend morning.
It’s from my personal opinion, Coffee: Been to many specialty cafe and here is still one of my favourite cafe to have coffee. Great quality matcha!!! Food wise: was great Tasty salmon belly and fried chicken! Big portions ( can share for two) Dessert/ cake: the best pistachio cheesecake ever! can’t get it no where, I have been cafe hunting since forever and yet I never find a pistachio cheesecake this good! Price range: Reasonable price compared to others typical cafe that gonna hurt your wallet. Ambient: Very cozy and relaxing especially when off peak time. Customer service: Satisfying ( been here multiple time to do work and hanging out yet never got treated otherwise)
The signature burnt cheesecake (RM22) really takes the cake. Served with strawberries, tomatoes, cream with burnt sugar, it's really a delight. The cafe is awash with natural light and has a good view of the greenery of the adjacent Damansara Jaya Square. The flat white is to my liking too. No obvious signage, keep an eye out for the corner lot.
I honestly went in expecting “just okay” food since this café has been getting a lot of hype lately — figured it might be overrated. But wow, it totally exceeded my expectations! I had the: Grilled Chicken with chickpea — good portion size, packed with protein, super flavorful, and the skin was perfectly crispy. Loved it. Gung Tea (earl grey with chrysanthemum) — really refreshing, though I wish it was a little less sweet. Ochazuke was decent albeit the small portion. Big eaters would not appreciate this ⏰ Waiting Time — I arrived around 11am on a public holiday, and the place was already buzzing with people who looked like they’d just wrapped up their morning workouts or walks. Definitely recommend coming a bit earlier if you want to snag a seat easily. Food came out really fast too. Service was smooth — I’d give it a solid 9/10.
